How to Import PST to Outlook?

You can use third-party software to import PST files on an Outlook account. However, Microsoft provides two ways with which you can import PST files onto an Outlook account using Outlook itself. They are via the Import/Export option or Open Outlook Data option. You can use these features by using the following methods.

With Import/Export Feature

When you import a PST file using the Import/Export feature, new emails pile on with your current emails. You can access them through the mailing folders listed under your email address. So, follow the steps mentioned below to use the Import/Export function to import a PST file on your account. Large PST files take some time to get imported into your email list. So, wait a few minutes in such situations. If you need to get rid of those emails, you have to remove them individually. 

From Outlook Data File

When you import PST through the Outlook Data File option, the emails remain in a folder that is separate from your personal Emails.  Additionally, importing multiple PST files does not merge those imported emails. They will remain as different folders on the folder pane at the left side of your home page. You can use this method by following the steps mentioned below.  It is a more temporary way of importing pst files on Outlook.  You can easily remove the whole folder, including the emails, from your account if you prefer. To do so, right-click on the folder and select Close “Outlook Data File” or Close “Your File Name”.
